Wind chimes have become more popular in recent years, not just in countries in Asia but also in the Western World such as in the United States. This can be attributed to the popularity of Feng Shui. Wind chimes produce melodic music which relaxes our mind. But music is not just the reason why a lot of people hung wind chimes.

Many historians agree that civilizations from the past made use of wind chime for a lot of reasons. The most important purpose of wind chimes is to drive away bad spirits. Asian countries believed that the sound chimes produce can ward off bad spirits from homes, and in turn invite good spirits to come in. The wind chimes are also believed to bring good luck and health. Believers of Feng Shui say that using a wind chime can create a balance in the energies produced by different forces. This attracts good energy while warding off bad energy.

Keith Olberman, host of MSNBC's Countdown can come up with some doozies when it comes to reporting the weird..... He did not disappoint us tonight when he came up with this one for his Oddball segment. Yes, he does report the news, and the way he does it is funny as hell.

[In response to Mrs. Sandy Frosty of Oldsmore, Florida who woke up in the middle of the night and found an alligator in her kitchen]
"She went to the kitchen to get a l ate night snack and almost became a late night snack. .. The reptile was detained and removed from the premises. Mrs. Frosty said she was thrilled the ordeal was over and even happier to get her new set of luggage."

by Judith Allison, Editor

You need resilience and courage to master parachuting. It is regarded as extreme sports. Is it good to know that nearly all of your browsing activity can be recorded and analyzed, from your place of origin, the kind of browser you use and your browser history. Are you aware what parachuting means and would you like to know a little about its history?

Parachuting has been with us for a long time indeed. It all starts with one jump from Arman Firman made in 852 A. D, when he jumped form tower and arrived at the bottom, just wearing a cloak. None of the recommended ways are totally foolproof but they do offer some form of protection. Andre Jacques Garnerin made history as the man who made the first parachute jump in 1797.

Many people see the use of weight loss patches as a move forward in the fight to control weight issues seen in the population but the Federal Trade Commission in the United States has warned the public not to be misled by exaggerated claims. The basis of the patch is to slowly release appetite suppressants into your blood stream along with other chemicals that will aid the removal of fat.

It is said to be more effective than a diet pill because it goes directly to your body without passing through the stomach, which can remove important nutrients found in other weight loss regimes. The method used is called transdermal transfer and is used in other ways to introduce drugs slowly into the system and in this instance, chemicals to help easy the desire to eat and others to help increase the metabolic rate.

Special Comment - Keith Olbermann On John McCain

Let's talk the real world. I have never been particularly political, not until this last presidential race. There has been so much bullshit, lies and more lies and crap thrown at all of America, one doesn't know where to start to pick up the pieces. The bottom line is that American soldiers have died in Iraq in droves, we are hated around the world and we have a President who's a lunatic. I wouldn't care if he were Democrat or Republican - what he's done to this country is simply scandalous.

They won't impeach him because it's not politically expedient. What the hell is up with that?!!! I mean, they impeached Clinton because of SEX. Having sex outside of marriage without consent of all parties involved is not that hot; however, it does nothing to the economy, our soldiers, the country - nothing! It's simply something that happens in life. So, we got a President who's stupid, insane and ridiculous!

Review: Hybrid Cars and the Energy Crisis

June 12, 2008 by IM Buzzter

Hybrid car introduction: It has been said that not enough people are doing all they can to fight against the energy crisis. Hybrid cars can help, but maybe not enough people are driving them. Here are a few issues related to the energy crisis and how hybrid cars can help.

The U.S. isn't doing enough, really

The United States consumes the most fossil fuels in the world. However, most people believe that all of our energy problems can be solved if we would only look further into the oil deposits in Alaska or if we made full use of the recent oil discovery in the Gulf of Mexico. Hybrid cars make it so that we might not have to use other sources of energy to keep the economy going. Hybrid cars don't make Americans use an excess amount of fossil fuel. Instead, hybrid cars cause Americans to use less fossil fuel.

Energy consumers just swallow increasing gas prices
