Review: “O” performed by Cirque Du Soleil

"O" by Cirque Du Soleil is a wonderful album that has maintained its charm and beauty over time. Written by Benoit Jutras, this music was is beautifully written and played to perfection on the CD.  "O" by Cirque Du Soleil is Available at Amazon. If you do make it to the show or see it on television, you'll be equally blown away by just how great it is. From start to finish "O" will stay with you - see what you can conjure up with it. Will it be a scene from "O" or will it be something of your own imaginings? Listen and see! It's rare that music is written for something so specific yet has such wonderfully open possibilities!

It brings back a wonderful sense of nostalgia and when gorgeous, sorrowful longing of "Jeux D'Eau" starts playing it will give you tingles all over your body. If you've seen any Cirque du Soleil show, you know the depth and breadth of the performance and how the music is intertwined perfectly into the whole.  I first saw the show at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and the red velvet curtains dropped to reveal the most mesmerizing show I have ever seen on stage - or, in this case, in water.

The story itself is complex yet breathtaking and the wide range of emotions the music evokes only further enhances the sweeping away part. The melodies are mournful, jubilant, and, as ever, magical...
